...stomach exercises that concentrate on each part of the abs such as the lower abs, upper abs and the obliques which are also commonly known as the love handles. Although the lower abs and the upper abs are actually one single muscle the ideal way to concentrate and tackle them to get flat stomach abs is to train each part of the muscle individually. This is because each part of the abdominal muscles requires a unique exercise to get best results. One of the best exercises for upper abs is the basic crunch which involves lying on your back on an exercise mat or on the floor with both hands on either side of your head. The knees should be bent at a 90 degree and with the feet resting flat on the floor. Without moving your legs, try and move your shoulder blades away from the floor and towards the knees by using only your stomach muscles. The ideal way to do this would be by breathing out on the way up and breathing in on the way down. Initially a set of 10 crunches is an achievable figure and this number could be gradually increased .Crunches are always considered as an ideal exercise for a flat stomach. The lower abs can be effectively trained by the reverse crunch exercise wherein you are required to assume the same initial position as the basic crunch with the only difference being is that your feet should be around six inches off the floor. Thereafter slowly bring your knees towards your chest lifting your lower body off the floor by contracting your abs.

Similarly a healthy and balanced diet will also keep away the belly fat. Consume a lot of fiber rich food as they require more time for digestion and hence work the stomach muscles longer. Processed and refined foods should be minimized. Instead consume a lot of fresh leafy vegetables and fruits along with plenty of fresh water.
