How Does Child Pose Yoga Relieve From Fatigue, Stress And Calm Down Brain

What Is Child Pose Yoga

The Child Pose yoga is a highly relaxing asana that can be done to precede or follow any pose. It is a counter stretch to the Headstand and is used to normalize circulation after backward bends.

Steps Of Child Pose Yoga (Balasana)

1.  Start the pose by kneeling on your mat; your big toes should be touching each other.

2.  Now squat on your heels and separate your knees as wide as the hips.

3.  With an exhalation, lay your body down on your thighs. Stretch your tailbone away from the back of your pelvis as you raise the base of your skull away from your neck.

4.  Gently place your hands on the Mat beside your body with the palms facing upwards. Ideally, you should release the front of your shoulders toward the floor. The weight of your front shoulders should pull your shoulder blades wide across your back.

5.  The Child Pose Yoga (Balasana), is actually a resting pose that you can stay in for ½ a minute up to a few minutes. Beginners normally use this for a taste of the deep forward bend, where your body lies on your thighs. Some stay in the pose for even 1 to 3 minutes. No harm.

6.  To come out of the pose, first stretch your front torso, and then with a deep inhale rise up from your tailbone as it presses down and into your pelvis.

If you feel even the slightest difficulty or inconvenience in doing the Child Pose Yoga, you could use Yoga Props like a Yoga Bolster. Either that or a thickly folded Yoga Blanket placed between the back of your thighs and calves will certainly make things more comfortable.

Performing the Child Pose Yoga is known to work wonders as a relaxing and restful posture. It is proven in helping to relieve stress and fatigue and in calming down brain. Then again, it is necessary to also observe caution when practicing the Pose particularly if you are suffering from a knee injury. This could actually worsen the condition if not done correctly and with proper guidance.
