Can Yoga Exercise Reduce Stress Related Acne

Acne is a common problem. At least 50% of teenagers and adults seem to be suffering from blemishes and acne.  Sometimes acne is due to genetics or hormones that create excessive oil which clogs the skin pores.  Acne can also be due to stress.  It is important to follow certain beauty regime along with yoga and a well-balanced diet.

2.  Supta Vajrasana (The Supine Pelvic Posture)
This yoga pose expands chest and lungs, tones heart and abdominal region.  It loosens ankle, knees and thigh joints.  It tones up spine.  It stimulates the adrenal glands.

3.  Vakrasana (The Spinal Twist)

5.  Paschimottanasana (Stretching Of Back And Legs)
This yoga pose stretches all the posterior muscles of the body.  This stretches the spine to the maximum level and makes it supple and flexible.  It also massages the heart and abdominal organs.  It is good for digestion.  It also reduces fatty deposits in the abdomen, hips, thighs and backside.  It can check and cure diabetes as it activates the pancreas.

6.  Sarvangasana (The shoulder-Stand Pose)
The Shoulder-stand pose has regenerative effect on the nervous system, especially the thyroid. It arrests premature ageing and improves facial skin texture.  It keeps the body supple and strong and you can retain your youthful vigor for a long time.

7.  Sirshasana (The Head-Stand Pose)
It has lot of therapeutic benefits including retention of youth and vigor, prevention of hair fall and wrinkle-free skin. This is very good for backache and disc problem. The head-stand pose strengthens the digestive track, liver, kidney, stomach, intestines and improves digestion. The rush of arterial blood sharpens memory, increases power of concentration, removes headache, migraine, mental tension and anxiety.  It has beneficial effect on endocrine system, reduces overweight.  It also has good effect on sensory organs.  The face receives plenty of arterial blood which nourishes the skin and facial tissues, prevents and softens wrinkles and hair becomes healthy.

8.  Shavasana (The Corpse Pose)
Rhythmic breathing in The Corpse Pose is highly beneficial for the body and mind.  This yoga pose brings peace and tranquility.

Pranayama or controlled and rhythmic breathing is another facet of yoga which should be practiced simultaneously. Bhastrika (Bellows) and Nadi-Shodhana (Alternate Breathing) will recharge your body, increase your mental faculties and overall feeling of well-being will prevail.
