I have many white spots on my tonsils after I was suffering from sore throat, is it normal?
If you are suffering from tonsillitis, you should be under the constant vigilance and care of a doctor. This is important because any abnormalities caused as a by product of this disease can be spotted and checked at once if a doctor is constantly overseeing your condition. In any case, it is always good to know that it is extremely difficult for a person to spot their own tonsils until they are seriously inflamed. More often than not, people mistake the uvula, a small nodule like substance that is easily visible in the throat, for tonsils. If this is the part of your throat that you are seeing white spots on, you need to consult a doctor and figure out what they are. The tonsils are usually on either side of the uvula and can barely be seen. If you have suffered from a sore throat, this could be a plausible reason for the leftover white spots. You may want to wait for a few days and see if they are going off on their own before you start trying out any remedial measures. Sometimes, these types of visual changes get taken care of by themselves if left alone.
Remedies For Tonsils White Spots
It is also possible that you are suffering from what are commonly known as tonsil stones. But it is common for these ‘stones’ to be felt, rather than seen. More than anything else, these cause bad breath and can be really embarrassing. But they are collections of debris that can accumulate and all you have to do is remove them manually. Since it is a bad idea to use any sharp objects, you are better off gargling with hot salt water which will help to gently ease them away. You could also use a strong mouthwash for your gargle. Try to gargle regularly for at least a week before you can hope to see results. Alternately, you can also use a general antiseptic to gargle. Take 10 drops of antiseptic liquid in a glass of hot water and try using this. You are strongly advised to get a medical diagnosis on the exact nature of these white spots before you set about trying to treat them. Please do remember that trying to ease them out or remove them with a finger or a toothbrush or something like that can cause long lasting, maybe even permanent damage and may be seriously detrimental to your health.
