Sun Burns, Aloe vera, UV Rays Sunburn, Sun Burn Relief Remedies: When I went for swimming my face turns red..due to sub burn please suggest remedies?

It is best to prevent sun burns, if possible. Excessive exposure to the sun can cause serious complications later in life such as cancer of the skin and premature skin wrinkling.  When going outdoors it is always advisable to use a good sunscreen with SPF of around 30 which will protect the skin from UV A as well UV B rays from the sun.

Sun Burn Relief Remedies :

In the event you do get sun burnt, it is never a happy situation, but if you have forgotten to use the handy sunscreen, there are some common things you can use to alleviate your suffering. Milk or ice which is easily available can be applied over the affected area of the skin with good effects. Applying small slivers of raw potato or cucumber to the affected region will provide immediate relief from discoloration of the skin as well as the inflammation brought on by the sun burnAloe vera is one of the most effective remedies that can be used to treat sun burns or similar ailments. Take some leaves from the plant, crush them and blend with juice from a freshly squeezed lemon. Rub the mixture all over the affected parts of the skin as it helps in cleansing, clearing and nourishing the skin. You can also take about 2 spoonfuls of honey and mix it with lemon juice. This mixture when applied over the areas that are affected is very useful in reducing the tan and soothing the skin. Your favorite oatmeal can be useful in more ways than just a breakfast meal. It can be used to provide relief from sunburn, take some dry oatmeal, put it in a towel and after wetting the entire pack with cool tap water, use it as a wet compress on the affected area of the skin. Repeating this process over a couple of 20 minute treatments should ease the discomfort and tautness felt by your skin. Regular black tea can also be used as a sun poisoning treatment against sun burns. Just take about 5 or 6 tea bags and steep it in a quart of water for just under half an hour. Once the tea has cooled down, take some gauze or towels and after dipping it in the solution, place it directly on the affected areas of the skin. The inflammation of the skin will be soothed by the anti-oxidants present in the tea.

Treat Severe Sunburn:

If the condition is severe, do visit your dermatologist who may prescribe medications to complement your other natural efforts at treating sun burn. Some doctors prescribe aspirin as they believe that it is better than acetaminophen or ibuprofen, as it is easier on the kidneys and the liver and in relieving the pain and the inflammation caused by the sunburn.
