The mouth should be rinsed around thrice a day with a mixture of salt and warm water. Repeat the process for a couple of days and check for any difference in the size of the cyst. You can continue the treatment if you notice a reduction in the size of the cyst. Follow this up by applying oil of primrose to the cyst, as the oil is believed to be effective in aiding with the process of reducing the infection. For instant relief, applying a coating of honey on the lips is a good option. Another very effective home remedy for treating bumps on the lips is castor oil.
