Painful Bumps Or Acne On The Scalp, Face - Hair Bumps On Scalp
Having a number of bumps on the scalp can be quite irritating, not to mention painful every time you choose to brush your hair. Bumps on the scalp are very similar to an outbreak of acne on the face and are influenced by almost the same set of aggressors. For example, excessively oily hair is more likely to trap dust and dirt particles and collect them until the hair has been washed. If there is a continuous buildup of these dirt particles, some parts of it may block the openings at the hair follicles where the sebaceous oils access the outer layer of the scalp in order to lubricate it. If a blockage were to form, a constant buildup of the sebaceous oils will take place behind the blockage – thereby giving rise to a prominent boil. The human skin is also covered with otherwise inactive bacteria, but if this bacterium was to come in contact with the trapped sebaceous oil, an infection is likely to develop. The human reaction to most boils and bumps is to proactively burst the protrusion. However, doing this would be more dangerous than helpful as it would allow the infected oils to spill over a larger area of the skin – increasing the area of infection. Some of the other factors that influence the outbreak of acne include irregular hours of eating, an excess of starch, sugar and fat content in the food consumed, chronic constipation or any improper movement of the bowels as this would give rise to the inadequate expulsion of waste from within the body – causing the bloodstream to become surcharged with toxic matter.
You could try mixing some natural yogurt with some fine oatmeal until it forms a paste and apply it over your scalp and allow it to dry. Wash the scalp with lukewarm water and pat it dry before applying some anti – biotic lotion over the affected area. You can also try mixing one tablespoon of groundnut oil with another tablespoon of lime juice to treat the pimple on the scalp. Another very trusted and successful option is to mix some lime juice in equal proportions with some rose water and apply it to your scalp every night and wash it off after 30 minutes before washing your scalp again with cold water and patting it dry. Applying the paste extracted from some ripe tomatoes over the bump is also known to help significantly while applying fresh mint juice every night should also be beneficial.
