Symptoms of Blisters

A lip blister could be caused by an infection, some kind of trauma to the lip, or even an allergic reaction to an irritant. Allergic reactions could be because of the use of make up or it could even be the manifestation of some kind of stomach allergy. If this is the case then the only treatment is the application of hydrocortisone ointment to the affected area. Allergies are not infections but the body’s hypersensitive reaction to an irritant. This reaction is caused by the immune system and therefore the immune reaction in the specific area has to be shut down. This can only be done by a group of drugs called corticosteroids and hydrocortisone is a corticosteroid.

Lip Blisters Remedies And Treatment

Recurrent trauma to the lip can sometimes happen because of wearing braces, too much biting of the lip, or even biting the lip during your sleep. If there is a possibility that this is the case, then you need to arrest this kind of trauma immediately;otherwise, the problem will just keep happening again and possibly cause an infection. One of the things that you could do is to apply some kind of a cream to your lip that causes a bad taste. This is a bit tricky to choose from because most of the applications to the lip that taste bad can also cause a bad stomach if ingested. Therefore, it makes sense to put some kind of bitter but edible oil over the area, which could solve the problem. You could also apply bitter gourd juice to your lips and allow it to dry before you apply a few drops of olive oil to your lips. This lip moisturizer is very bitter and will prevent you from biting your lips.

Lip Blister Can Be  Herpes Infection Or Cold Sore

Infections are a bit more problematic. If you have continuous blistering that is red, and painful and is accompanied by fever, you could probably be facing a herpes infection – more commonly known as a cold sore. Herpes infections can occur on the back, on the neck and sometimes on the face – especially on the lips. Though a herpes infection also follows a fever, you have probably not reached this stage yet. Herpes is caused by the herpes virus and is an extremely contagious disease that will recur if you do not treat the area immediately. You must first of all go to the doctor, as you would need some strong drugs to combat this disease.  You should apply tea tree oil to the site of the sores. Tea tree oil is a powerful antimicrobial agent. Tea tree oil has the ability to fight off infections that are caused by bacteria, viruses, and fungi even so this would be ideal for your condition – if the cause is indeed an infection.
