I have black skin, please suggest some natural tips to make my skin glow and fresh

Glowing skin is often associated with good health, youthfulness and freshness. Some people have skin that glows naturally, without having to work on it. But that is not the case for everyone. Fortunately, it is not difficult to make your skin glow. All it requires is a little care and effort.

Following the tips given below can give you the clear, glowing skin that you’ve always wished for:

  • Drink a lot of water: Water is required to keep one’s skin moist and supple. If you don’t get enough water to drink throughout the day, your body will absorb water from other minor organs, the skin being one of them. This can cause your skin to become dry or flaky and in some cases, even oily. Beverages like coffee, tea, sweet juices and aerated drinks harm the skin and should be avoided.
  • Eat Right: In order to get beautiful skin, it is essential for you to maintain a proper diet. Ensure that you eat a lot of fresh vegetables and fruits, dairy, fish and lean meats. Stay away from junk, canned and processed food, as they contain a lot of sodium, which makes your skin dry or oily or even malnourished.
  • Exfoliation: This is a good way to get glowing skin. It is important to use a good exfoliator, which is gentle, but also effective. The exfoliator can be used every morning, before you wear your make-up.
  • Cleanse your skin: Cleansing your face should be made a habit and part of your daily routine. You routine should include removing your makeup properly, every night and cleansing your face, the right way, every morning. You should -
    1. First splash some lukewarm water on your face,
    2. Then, apply some cleanser on your fingertips, working up a lather
    3. Next, rub the lathered cleanser on your neck, face and jaw line in circular motion (make sure that you are gentle; you don’t need to scrub your face)
    4. After that, rinse your face, neck and jaw line, using some lukewarm water
Finally, dry your skin, with a towel
    5. You should also be careful of the products you use on your skin.
  • Relax: Stress normally affects your skin adversely, and that is why you need to relax. You could try taking a warm bath, meditation, yoga, Pilates, or anything that helps you relax.
  • Sleep: Your “beauty sleep” is probably the most important beauty tools that you have. Lack of sleep can definitely affect your skin, especially the area just under the eyes, causing puffiness and sometimes intensifying dark circles.
  • Use the right makeup: Your makeup can affect your skin to the extent that it can make your skin appear “glowing” or “flaky”. Therefore, before using a beauty product, check for side-effects. Also, always stick to the makeup brand that suits you.
  • Exercising: Exercising is not just good for your body; it also helps your skin, by giving it a natural glow.
