Symptoms And Causes Of Gastritis

Gastritis refers to a condition in which the inner lining of the stomach gets inflamed and causes pain and discomfort in the abdomen. The patient may feel an acute burning sensation in the stomach periodically and suffer from exhaustion. If the condition is severe, you should observe a fast for a day and drink only water and juices of fruits like pineapples, apples, grapes and watermelons. This helps cleanse away toxins from the digestive tract. As a rule, stay away from pickles and foods containing condiments, artificially flavored and deep fried snacks, sweets, red meats, tea, coffee and alcohol, as they may irritate the inner walls of the stomach further and worsen the symptoms. Make sure that you drink at least 10 to 12 glasses of water every day. Include plenty of fresh fruits and raw vegetables in your diet. These are rich natural sources of essential minerals and vitamins, as well as of fibers, which aid digestion and detoxify the system. If you suffer from abdominal pain regularly after meals, you should drink a glass of raw coconut water just after eating. Drinking half a cup of raw potato juice just before meals is also useful for treating gastritis.
