What Is The Secret Of Chakra In Yoga
Traditional Indian medical theory and yoga philosophy states that the body has seven primary (and several hundred secondary) energy centers, referred to as chakras (original Sanskrit meaning “wheels”). The primary chakras lie along a linear path, running from the base of the spine right up to the crown. These chakras hold universal energy, vital life force, which flows through the body, powering it.
Each chakra has its own unique speed frequency, with the first chakra, the root, located at the base of the spine spinning the slowest and the seventh chakra, located on the crown of the head, spinning the fasted. Each chakra has an associated color and gemstone.
Each chakra directly corresponds and affects certain specific body functions. It is said that each chakra is associated with an endocrine gland, and each represents a set of functions and desires relating to the said body parts. Chakras affect not only physical health, but also have a bearing on mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of human life.
