No Reason To Add Weight|Become Fat If Yoga Being Practiced In Right Way

Does Stopping Yoga Practice Lead To Adding More Weight|Become Fat

Not if you’ve been practicing the right way. The moot point is, have you been following a Yogic diet? So let’s try and understand: “Have you really understood and been practicing Yoga the right way?” If you have, there is no reason why you should ever add weight or become fat.

For one thing, there’s no stopping Yoga practice once you’ve started – the right way that is! Yoga is a holistic science and art of living that includes not just the physical culture – that most people, unfortunately confuse Yoga with – but physical, mental and emotional practices. These include a code of conduct to help you always stay out of trouble – called Yamas (restraints) and Niyamas (observances), Yogasanas, a set of exercises and poses designed to tone up your muscles and organs and keep you in shape, Pranayamas (breathing exercises), kriyas (cleansing techniques) and a Yogic diet.

Now, if you take Yoga as just a physical fitness regimen and practice just the exercises and poses (or maybe, even a couple breathing exercises), you are far from the real practice of Yoga and there’s no telling what might happen once you abandon the practices. Why, even whilst doing them, there’s no guarantee of good results. There can just be no Yoga in the absence of the vital points mentioned in the second paragraph. Even if you’re only seeking physical benefits, for optimum results, a Yogic diet will have to be adhered to. This means a Sattvic (pure and simple) predominantly vegetarian diet.

In addition, your diet should be low on polysaturated fats, milk and dairy products such as butter and cheeses. Steer clear, at all times, of all fast foods, burgers, pizzas and French Fries, especially that lethal combination of burgers and Colas. The human body is a creation of the Highest Being and is absolutely flawless. Unfortunately, a lot of us tend to take it for granted and ill-treat it. No wonder, we end up falling ill. Even while practicing Yoga; if an individual consumes all the wrong foods, it’s only natural that one would put on excess weight.

Staying fit calls for is a little care and caution, a little awareness at all times, a little common sense. True, we all have our human failings, but this is where Yoga really helps. So please read the second paragraph and practice all the steps. If you do so, there is no stopping your Yoga practices at all and should you, by any chance, have to take a break from the physical regimen, you won’t end up putting on excess pounds.
