Guess what, guys. Over 50% of all folks in the US will suffer from sore feet at some time during their lifetime. Do you take care of your feet as much as you use them? In Yoga and Ayurveda, foot care routine can bring down the risk of going into that unfortunate category. Now howdya like that?
Corns, like calluses, develop from accumulation of dead skin cells, forming thick and hard areas on the tops, sides and tips of the toes. Continuous pressure and friction from footwear can press the region and inflict pain. An alternative of chemical corn-removing solutions, which can intensify irritation, try the following simple cures.
First and foremost, the best steps to take are to put on comfortable shoes; see that they fit properly, and have sufficient room in the toe area.
It is just as important that you wash your feet with soap regularly. Wash the soap off with lukewarm water and then wipe your feet dry. Pay attention to the space between the toes. Never use harsh chemicals or methods to extract corns and calluses, like trimming or shaving. They can damage your feet.
Change your socks on a daily basis, especially when you exercise. As far as possible, freshen your feet by walking barefoot inside or outside the house. Try these asanas: Sirshasana, Viparita Karani and Sarvangasana with loads of Shavasana.
