Yoga for Allergies

Allergies, I know from experience, are triggered by allergens. They most often attack the skin and respiratory system. Over time, this could lead to chronic illnesses such as acne and pimples, premature hair loss, psoriasis eczema, sinusitis, asthma and bronchitis.

The best way to avoid allergic reactions, I’d say, is to avoid what sets them off. And, by the way, stress and heightened negative emotions just worsen things. On the other hand, I found that Yoga helped stabilize my immune system. With practice, I saw my overall health and local resistance improving. As a result, my tolerance to infection also increased.
Yoga, also being a great stress buster, helped me relax and get control of my mind and emotions. This, in turn, facilitated the control of my allergic reactions. All the same, medical attention was still required. Yoga helps me in managing the allergies but, I was advised, should not be taken as the sole cure.

Some basic yoga techniques helped me manage my allergies and build up my own immune system. Each session was designed to make me fit and help me cope and prevent respiratory allergies and other diseases. I don’t see why it won’t help you and others as well.

The basic session of Yoga for allergies, I’d recommend consists of:

Breathing exercises

Asanas

Cleansing techniques

Above all else, watch those triggers and avoid them like the plague.
