The child should also be made aware of the importance of having fruits and vegetables as part of one’s daily diet. An important health tip of the day for children is to explain the importance of exercise to them at an early age itself. Children should also be encouraged to go outside and play and to partake in various sports activities such as athletics, swimming, aerobics, cycling and so on. Another important health tip today is to also realise the importance of dental care and the need to take care of one’s teeth via regular brushing and flossing. A health tip of the day for adults is to modify the way one cooks food as overcooking the food will cause the enzymes and nutrients present in the food to be less effective in providing the required nutrition for the various metabolic needs of the body. One should always try and steam, bake, grill, boil or poach the foods as far as possible rather than frying them in unhealthy oils thereby increasing the fat content. The weight loss tip of the day is to minimize the intake of junk foods as they are rich in weight gaining empty calories and provide the body with little or n nutritional benefits. While deciding on ones diet plan one should ensure that almost half of the calories in ones diet come from carbohydrates such as rice, pastas, cereals, bread and potatoes. One should also try and eat fibre rich foods such a whole grains as they help in smooth bowel movements and strengthen the digestion process. A fitness tip of the day is to ensure that one includes plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables in their diet as these are rich in various vitamins and minerals that are beneficial to the body. One should also try and reduce the intake of processed foods such as cakes and pastries as they are rich in refined flour and sugars which is not healthy for one’s body. A health tip of the day for those who are prone to snacking throughout the day is to snack on fruits or salad or even some nuts as these are healthier and tasty as well. A health tip of the day is to also drink plenty of fluids especially plain drinking water  so as to feel fresh and prevent dehydration.
