What Are Physical Benefits Of Yoga

We are all born Yogis.



Time was when all could tug our toes up to our ears and grin widely from ear to ear. Then we grew, and grew stiff. We started to carry stress tensions with in us.



Meaning to say we’ve lost our childhood natural grace and poise. An ancient ethnic practice – Indian in particular –Yoga helps develop that much needed sentiment of union between the body and mind. And spirit, while it restores our balance.



A lot of folks who found themselves out of balance then took to Yoga. Someone was suffering from arthritis or rheumatism, someone else had diabetes or hypertension, some folks reported signs and symptoms of cholesterol and cardio vascular disease, plantar fasciitis in both feet, sciatica and what not else. They’re desperate for some sort of respite and Yoga becomes their savior. Yoga even enhances their overall fitness.

People, who report practicing Hatha Yoga at least twice a week, consider Yoga part of their daily life. This is due to the fact that after some time, practitioners no longer just practices Yoga — they start to live it. In so doing Yoga becomes part of their physical regimen and lives. Their bodies turn a lot stronger, toned up, and become a lot more supple as they proceed from one pose to pose.

In fact, people report spending time at retreats – a week in Mexico, 10 days at Acapulco, a Yoga vacation in India – and come back feeling fantastic. They continue with their practices and see fantastic results, such as losing weight, sleeping better, unexpected drop in levels of blood sugar and blood pressure, to name a few. Rather than build muscle, Yoga helps develop muscle tone, by maintaining a balanced metabolism. Yoga also helps control weight by stretching muscles lengthwise. This causes elimination of fat around the cells, thereby reducing cellulite.
