Yoga For Conceiving

Yoga has been practiced through the ages for a variety of reasons. Yoga is practiced to help in calm the mind and ease the body. This is mainly done with the help of different breathing techniques. It is also used to improve one’s overall health and well being.  For couples who are having difficulty conceiving, yoga to get pregnant is also recommended. However it is always recommended that you check with a medical practitioner before practicing any of the yoga poses, especially if you are using any fertilization implantation programs. Some simple basic yoga poses you can try includes the legs up the wall pose. This pose is particularly useful when done right after sexual intercourse. This pose helps to move the sperm further into the woman’s reproductive organs. This is also a useful way to de stress. Yoga for conceiving can also practiced by doing the relaxation pose. This pose involves the person lying down on the floor and slowly relaxing every part of their body. They should shut their eyes and remember to inhale and exhale continuously at a steady pace. Another useful pose is the supported bridge pose. Yoga after pregnancy is also recommended as it helps a woman to regain her flexibility and also helps in toning the body.

Yoga or Pilates: Which One Is Better In Pregnancy?

Pilates and yoga are two kinds of exercise that are practiced in today’s world and that are very popular. Both these forms of exercise have great benefits that can even be seen for pregnant women. Pilates and yoga originated a long time ago and are being constantly adapted to suit the needs of today’s changing societies. Yoga is centered on the asanas, Pranayama, meditation and flexibility. Some of the main types of yoga practiced today include Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga and Bikram yoga. Bikram yoga should not be practiced during pregnancy as it is done in a very hot environment. Pilates and yoga are both useful in calming the mind and also in toning the body and can be practiced by pregnant women. It is always essential that any exercise during pregnancy should first be approved with the pregnant woman’s doctor. Pilates for pregnant women is effective in helping the women to loosen up and also in strength training. During a Pilates class a lot of emphasis is laid on those styles which employ the abdomen and also the muscles that exist in the pelvic floor.  One should make sure that they are very careful when practicing any of the yoga poses or the Pilates movements when they are pregnant. There is no substantial proof to determine if yoga or Pilates is better for a pregnant woman.
