The right Yoga apparel is very important because Yoga practice entails performing various types of body postures, ranging from the very simple to slightly complex. This is why it is important to consider the kind of clothing to wear during Yoga practices.

Here are a few things you might like to consider in wearing to your Yoga class:

The prime consideration should be comfort.


Your clothes should facilitate free movement. Or else they can hinder the blood circulation. As far as possible, wear loose clothing or those made from light cotton material.

Secondly, consider wearing shorts. You will know if you knees ankles and feet are well aligned when doming asanas, this way. For ladies, it is recommended that they wear sports bras and loose fitting pajamas.

 

Customarily, Yoga is performed barefoot. However if, for reasons of hygiene, you prefer to practice in socks or shoes, it’s perfectly okay. Just check with your instructor before class. Some tutors just might have hang ups about these things.

 

Sweat is yet another important factor that you should consider in your Yoga apparel. It is a good idea to wear clothes woven from organic cotton, since they absorb perspiration easily and also facilitate maximum comfort and breathing space.
