Exercises For Beginners
Follow
Submitted by Kevin Pederson on August 2, 2010
There are several kinds of
exercises for beginners
. However, before starting any form of exercise, it is best to consult your doctor. It is essential to get a full check up before you start exercising. More so, if you have not exercised for a long time. Initially, start with
exercises
that last for about 45 minutes. Stick to this time for a month. In the second month, increase the time up to an hour and gradually build up your stamina so that you can work out for one and a half hours. If you are suffering from any medical conditions such as asthma or other respiratory disorders, or if under medication for certain illnesses, a doctors advice on your exercise schedule would be a must. Do remember to do some
warm up exercises
before you begin your exercise routine.
Exercises for beginners include:-
•
Cycling:
Cycling helps to build up stamina and also helps to tone your lower body. You could either use a cycling machine or a bike for this cardio workout. The benefit of using cycling fitness equipment is that you can workout on different settings.
•
Skipping:

aerobic exercise for beginners
. All you need is a skipping rope and you can start burning a lot of calories.

exercises for beginners
. You can either join a dancing class or simply dance at home to shed those extra pounds. The salsa and the quick step are two dancing forms that help to burn calories quickly.
•
Jogging and Running:
These are two of the simplest
exercises for beginners
. Start off your exercise program by jogging every day for the first week. Then switch to jogging.
•
Cross trainer machines:
These elliptical machines are usually found in a gym. They are excellent for work outs.
•
Strength training:
This kind of exercise strengthens the muscles. Exercises should include squats, lunges,
bench press exercises
, triceps extensions, hammer curls, abdominal crunches, waist turns, back extensions and overhead presses.
