People walk for several reasons - they try walking to lose weight, walking for stress reduction, walking for exercise and pleasure, walking for finding solitude or even walking to get from one place to another. Exercising with the right motivation (a companion to challenge you) is always very effective. If you cannot find a companion to walk with you, you can always join a sport center or a walking club. It is important for you to start off slow, at a moderate pace and for a period of time that is not too long, and slowly increase your pace.
