How To Reduce Body Fat
Fat is an important nutrient in the diet. People tend to believe that all fat is bad for you but this is not the case. Fats are used to store energy because when they break up, the liver can produce glucose out of the fat which releases energy. Fat is also required in order to absorb some important vitamins such as vitamins a, d, e, and k. Hence fat is useful as part of the dietary requirement. However, excessive fat is not good as it tends to accumulate around the body and causes obesity and problems related to obesity.
If you want to
reduce belly fat
, as well as an overall reduction of
body fat
, one can follow a few tips. Excessive fat is caused by poor diet and lack of exercise. Both these should be addressed before you are able to
reduce body weight
. A healthy diet should contain a balance of all types of foods and should not be fat intensive. Excessively fatty foods include large portions of meat, fried foods, especially those that are deep fried and some dairy products. You should replace some of the fatty components of your diet with fresh fruits and vegetables. A fruit and vegetable diet gives you proper nourishment, fills your body with vitamins and minerals and also provides dietary fiber which aids digestion. Always eat moderately and have three regular meals daily. This will also help your digestive process by making it more efficient as it will not be overloaded by heavy meals.
If you wonder about
how to measure body fat
, you can consult your doctor. A good method of estimating the fat in your body is the body mass index. By comparing your height and weight you can get a BMI ratio which will tell you, roughly, how much fat you have. If you want to reduce
body mass index and lose weight and belly fat
you should follow an exercise routine. Moderately heavy exercise performed for long periods of time is the only way to burn fat effectively. It will require your body to consume its fat to release energy to aid your exercise. The relationship between
six pack abs
and fat is that you will never be able to gain your six pack until you
get rid of most of your belly fat
as the muscles will simply grow under the fat and not be visible.
