Crunches And Belly Fat Exercises It isn’t only you, but millions of people all around the world who are struggling with belly fat. Unfortunately, our modern lifestyles are a major cause of belly fat, since we lead sedentary lives without much exercise. Crunches and sit-ups don’t actually help you lose belly fat; all they do is strengthen your abdominal muscles.

To lose belly fat, one of the things you can do is lower your body fat from all over your body. There’s also another solution to your problem with body fat. This one is an ancient solution for our modern day problem.

Yoga, an ancient Indian form of exercise, can help you lose fat around your belly. Yoga is a coming together of body, mind and breath. It has many mental and physiological benefits. It provides strength and flexibility to not just your muscles, but also your internal organs. It helps in normalising the body and mind, and reverses the ill effects of our stress-filled lifestyles. Yoga To Reduce Belly Fat Keep in mind that just doing a few yoga poses a day won’t help you. You’ll need to change your lifestyle by incorporating more physical activity into your day, and stay away from unhealthy habits. This is all part of yoga. To learn yoga, it’s suggested that you join a good yoga class, or study with a good yoga teacher, or guru. This is very important, as yoga should be learnt under supervision only. Some of the poses that your guru can teach you, which will help are: Bhujangasan or Cobra pose: This pose as you lying on the floor, face down, with your arms under your chest. You need to stretch your back up towards the sky. This helps you to stretch your abdominal muscles and strengthens your back. Dhanurasan or Bow pose: Lie face-down, and hold your ankles by bending your knees. Raise your head and shoulder up by pulling at your ankles. Hold on to this position for 10 seconds. This exercise strengthens your back, and helps your abdomen tighten your abdomen. Pavan Muktasan or the Pose to release air: This pose helps you release air inside your stomach. It involves you lying on your back, and pulling your legs into your stomach. You will often pass wind when in this position, but don’t be embarrassed, it’s a good thing! Keep in mind that these poses cannot be done by themselves in isolation. You will need to do these along with all the other poses that your guru teaches you.
